The only reason that they didn't before (they said this themselves) is that the light falloff in the corners was too great. <br /><br />Now lets think of a company that has tons of experience with getting full frame sensors mated to a small lens mount. NIKON. Kodak doesn't have the experience with this to be able to handle it.<br /><br />It's very very possible that either the M9, or the R10 could have a D3 sensor & Expeed in it, heck they both could.<br /><br />Also remember the rumors that Nikon was branching out to other things (the assumption at the time was Medium Format). I have to agree that logically it makes sense for Leica to debut a full frame rangefinder. The only reason that they didn’t before (they said this themselves) is that the light falloff in the corners was too great.

Now lets think of a company that has tons of experience with getting full frame sensors mated to a small lens mount. NIKON. Kodak doesn’t have the experience with this to be able to handle it.

It’s very very possible that either the M9, or the R10 could have a D3 sensor & Expeed in it, heck they both could.

Also remember the rumors that Nikon was branching out to other things (the assumption at the time was Medium Format). So if nikon partners with leica on RF’s & SLR’s who’s going to end up in Medium Format?
