Read Chasseur today but skipped the Leica rumors. A camera weighing 3.4 kilos? That's for something else; maybe a shoebox full of BS. Mag had a rave for the D700 and another for Sony's 900 - giving it one star more than D700 - for landscapes. Reponses Photo is a better mag.

Is that price for real, or is it a typo (or just a hoax)?
The Leica D-LUX3 costs approx 550 euros. This one is about twenty times more expensive.

Well, it´s here.

I can see -obviously- the new lens as seen in the Panasonic LX3; can see the hotshoe for flashguns or viewfinders; the two metalic anchors at the sides to use a neck strap and... nothing else. Let´s look at that Panasonic and we´ll know waht´s in.

... and the grip is gone. Which is available, as it happens, as an accessory. So we get to pay more for the Holy Red Dot, and the some for the add-on grip.
I'm sold, that's what I am. That grip better be good. And made from a hideously expensive tree.
