Panasonic is not buying Leica

    Could there be another party interested?
    Was Minolta the manufacturer of some Leica SLRs (in whole or in part) in the past? Was the Minolta XE body the foundation?
    Did Minolta manufacture a Leica M mount rangefinder in the past?
    Did Sony buy Minolta’s camera division?
    Would you buy a B+W only (non Bayer) rangefinder?

    It was an intriguing story nonetheless. I would’ve loved to have owned a Panasonic version of an M9 (or M10) at a fraction of the price of the M8.

    a cheap M body by whether by someone else or leica needs to be unleashed on the world so everyone gets hooked on M glass. panasonic could have been helpful here!

    It is interesting that they denied selling part of Leica’s camera business , but they did not say anything about the whole camera business…
