Leica layoffs?

Update: 34 employees were layoff by Leica Geosystem (source).

Did Leica had a round of layoffs last week? I hope not. Does anyone know something about this?

    A friendly reminder that Leica Geosystems is a separate company from Leica Cameras.

    at the beginning I did not know which Leica company was affected by the layoffs

    Leica Geosystems (Switzerland) is a different company from Leica Camera (Germany) and no link exists between the two. This note about layoffs at Leica Geosystems is misplaced in Leicarumors and hence misleading.

    Yes, I did update the textt the day after I posted this. When I got this rumor, it did not know that only Leica Geosystem was impacted.
