The quest for the biggest lens continues

This is just an update on the series of previous posts about the biggest/most expensive lens in the world.

After Leica (1600mm) and Zeiss (1700mm), now it seems that Canon will be the winner with 5200mm/f14 lens (the picture is from eBay – this lens was for sale a while ago):

    i wonder if it could be used for macro photography? What’s the closest it can focus?
