Leica S2 on display in New York

Leica S2 (pre-production model) was on display in Manhattan as part of a special promotion for the Fotocare store opening. Leica Product Specialist Justin Stailey said:

"Final pricing and features will likely be announced in early August, I also haven't yet seen a hard shutter speed for what the flash sync will be."

This is a small delay from the last report where the price announcement was going to be at the end of July. Norwegian photography magazine Fotografi (source) also spread some rumors about a potential delay of the Leica s2 project. Leica is still convinced that the S2 will be shipping by the end of the Summer (September 21st).

    Hmm…Checking the lens front, the country of origin is missing. Wonder where it was made and by whom?
