Leica M9 on 09.09.09 at 09:09 again

I wrote about the M9 announcement date some time ago. Now, according to the french magazine "Chasseur d'Images" (#316) a conference for the M9 is scheduled by Leica for 09-09-09 at 09:09.

    This is sooo cheesy. I can`t imagine “ze germans” thinking this one through. It has to be a foreign idea behind all this.

    I`m not saying “it won`t happen”, I`m just easily amused.

    I bet they were thinking “let`s put it on september 9th `09 at that funky hour, so that no one will figure this out! We <> ™ “.

    I can barely wait for M9. Last month I cracked and bought a M6 and a CV 35/1.4 just to have some fun before “the pixel flooded Leica”.

    Take it with a grain of salt. M9 will come and it will have a full-format sensor with maybe 24 Mpixels…

    Those wacky Germans probably will follow through.. The “Carneval” party (german Mardi Gras season) begins on 11/11 at 11:11. Helau!
