'We are not making any comment on any of the rumours,' said Leica Camera Limited marketing manager Jenny Hodge."
Via Amateurphotographer - the article also remind us that the previous CEO Steven K Lee dropped the bomb about a full frame Leica M last year.

NO M9 ?
not yet
Leica just keeps their mouth shut…. M9 is coming… full frame
Admin is your witching rod still pointing to a 5DII sensor?
I have it, on what I can only consider, very good authority (my Paris retailer of 16 years past) that the 09.09.09 rumour is not a rumour (UK English spelling
but a fact. I can’t see them gearing up for a special presentation display for the day otherwise. I imagine that Leica are planning an Apple style announcement suspense to keep us all wishing for what we hope to be true. As a professional using exclusively Leica M and R cameras for 30 years I damned well hope it is true. If the CEO of Leica knows his stuff he will have realised that their are hundreds of thousands of professionals out there who would ruin themselves (if they aren’t already) for a class A full frame digi Leica that can compete with the Japanese camera companies. Having flirted with the M8.2, (nice but not good enough), it is high time that Leica pulled out their finger and gave the professional community an M they can actually use to again shoot pictures worthy of everything Leica has always stood for. Leica built its reputation upon many hundreds of the world’s greatest photographers who would never have been seen dead wearing a white or safari M body. Sebastiäo Salgado being one of them, although I have only ever known him using R series cameras, R6.2′s to be precise. The Leica M ambassador’s, Cartier-Bresson, Ralph Gibson, Robert Frank to name but 3 of thousands, collectively helped to establish the monumental reputation that Leica M’s have held since they invented the 35mm, 24×36 frame. The time has come for them to uphold that reputation to the professional photography world and give us the camera we deserve in this era of digital photography. Personally, I would go on using film in my MP’s and M4′s if I could afford to absorb the costs which the media no longer wish to assume. But that is another story.
Vive le Leica M9 full frame with a wide ISO sensibility range à la Canon 5DMkII!
Hey guys. I just ran into one of the famous Leica photographers here. I asked him about the M9 and he gave me the scoop:
Release Date: 9 Sept 2009
Kodak full frame sensor.
How does he know? Because he’s going to be the one announcing it here where I live. And they’re goign to give him one of them after. He got to choose between the black or silver one.
