Stores taking pre-orders for Leica M9

M9

From a LeicaRumors reader:

"I thought I would share that I just pre-ordered my M9 from a Leica store in Frankfurt, as I am planning to travel through Frankfurt shortly after September 9th. The price is 5,500 Euro, but you get a 19% VAT refund when you leave Europe. And by the way it will be in Grey or Black. Grey not in the sense of traditional silver, might be more like the R9 grey."

Well I’ll be dang…….Sounds like it’s real this time. If so, I wonder if it will take on different dimensions or maybe even a different shape???

Good for Leica – might even be tempted to try the M9.

Sure, OK….. here’s a blank check with my signature then Leica. Just fill in the rest for me. Oh that’s OK I don’t need to know what your announcing or what the specs are.
I trust you Leica. I pre-ordered the original M8 and that was a great decision too wasn’t it. What could possible go wrong? What’s that…… it’s just an M8 body with a sensor from a Kodak EASYSHARE camera?! Ha Ha, your not going to charge me $8000US dollars for that are you?! Right…….RIGHT?!
