I think that the use of the NOVICE word should be a suggestion for the target of the new product…

If you notice it only goes to 1/4000, so it must be a m8.2, but i don’t see any inscription of m8.2 on the flash shoe.

The M8 has a 1/8000 setting which here there is not.
The M8.2 has an S setting which here there is not.
Also, in the video you can clearly see a dedicated ISO button which is not present on the M8 nor the M8.2.
    Hence… here is the M9!

So it seem that the didn’t need to make a bigger camera for the bigger sensor :)

Also take a look at the top plate left corner with a cut out like the old rewind crank area – MP /M3, new menu options Lens detection = “Auto”

So it’s the 18mp canon 7D APS-C sensor in an M8 body after all then?

No word on the sensor yet, but I guess it will be Kodak.

The other main difference I see is the smooth leatherette instead of the large, rough kind on the 8.2…

wasn’t there a rumor floating around about a digital CL rf camera?

i think we will see a FF M9, aps-h digital cl, and a larger sensor dlux-5

The M9 will have built in IR filter and no need for additional UV/IR filter. Otherwise will be exactly like an M8.2 with a few more bells and whistles in the menu.
