This was taken form the official Leica distributor in China – it is real. Besides Leica they carry also other products.

Questions:
Does Leica co-operate with Artisan & Artist? Wouldn’t they rather include a Hermes case? And why two cases: the brown case plus the halfcase?
The “Certificate of Authenticy” of the D-Lux looks more presigeous than the one for the M8.2 which resembles the title page of the manual. I would expect it to be the other way round.

In its press release for the Hermes M7, Leica refers to a “suggested retail price”.
Here, reference is made to a “reference price” – is that the official Chinese terminology?

Well, we shall see. I am still not convinced that these are real.

i suggest you look into the whole Google story closer and then make another statement. Its pathetic to see most of you who simply look at news headlines and/or brainwashing materials from the media/politicians and make all these statement. Yes China has done things that just ain’t right, there’s no doubt about that. But what kind of good things have we done? What was the “real” reason for us to go to war with all the middle eastern countries? Did we contribute ANYTHING in the climate conference in copenhagen? Apparently we’re in a country where people ONLY judge others but never take a good look of what we’re doing and what WE really have done.

The argument that one should discount human rights violations in the face of economic progress and prosperity is spurious.

That’s like saying one should forgive a murderer because he did a lot of community service.

The two are NOT related.

To say that China has has only decades to develop human rights is again spurious.

As history students know, China has been around over 5000 years. Who do you think built the Great Wall? Aliens?

China’s had thousands of years to develop human rights. It squandered it.

To be honest, I am appalled to the extent that people disregard to the feats of China and put such huge emphasis on its failures. No other country in history has managed to achieve as much as it has, and where the West has had centuries to develop human rights, China has only had a few decades. These things will come in time; but China is still going in the right direction. Yes, it should be criticised for its human rights and treatment of Tibet, etc., but what it has done over the past sixty years has been for the benefit of the people. The scale of human rights violations is tiny compared to the increase in the quality of life of the billion or so Chinese who have benefited from the current party policy.

LOL……..perhaps this is THE camera built for Stuart Franklin and other front line reporters (and survivors) in Tiananmen Square Massacre in 1989 – (2009). They truly deserve it. Ummmmmm… but I doubt they would want their nightmare written on their camera. Let’s forgive but NOT forget.
