Usually B&H doesn't list products as "Available for pre-order" (just received e-mail notification) unless they know they will be getting some in stock in the next few days:

So, I just made a phone call to BnH. They got only 5 blacks to ship out today while more than 50 people wait for blacks. No silver or steel gray for today. I’m the number 8 waiting in the line of silver. No estimation either. I asked about Leica’s shipping frequency. They said No Pattern. I asked if it was true that BnH didn’t accept pre-order unless they knew there would be shippings. They answered Not Necessarily. By the way, I ordered in the afternoon of March 5. Should have been ordered earlier that day to nose in first 5:(
I ordered my M9 about four weeks or so ago from Ken Hansen and just got a call from him today that I will have my black M9 in my hands this Friday the 12th! Ken is a great person, honest and easy to deal with. I have already received my 90mm Cron from him and 1.4x viewfinder magnifier. M9 coming with grip and extra battery. Still going to have to wait just a little bit longer for the 50mm Lux though. I would recommend Ken Hansen over B&H any day. Call Ken Hansen at (561) 833-6968 if you want to get an M before B&H. I’ll put it this way. A few weeks ago I was #9 (ironically) when I placed my order with him and now I’ll have it in two days!
