I received a tip that the next Leica M8 firmware update will be released in early May, 2010. My understanding is that this will be the last firmware update for the M8 model - as far as I remember Stefan Daniel mention that in one of the Leica videos when the M9 was introduced last year.

Will that also apply for the M8.2?
Any idea what might be in the update?
no, at that point I do not have any details of what will be included
Good tip, Looking forward to a maintenance firmware update. My M8 is lovely as it is so this can only make it better.
Bo
can you post the original email here to prove it is not a joke? Iam very sorry about this, because there was a lot of false new there.
No matter it is the last one or not, hope this may solve all the M8 problem we faced before.e.g. the high iso line, bad WB, non-stop continuous mode. etc etc
Dale, I do not have the original email.
