The current Leica M9 firmware version is 1.116
In an email to a l-camera-forum member, Leica confirmed that a new M9 firmware will be coming "in a few days". It seems that in addition to the improved in-camera white balance, there will be also some SD card compatibility fixes.

This is serious. No one has them, they just want to add you to a list, and they may get 2 cameras with 20-30 people waiting. Your not even told how many people are ahead of you on the list. Perhaps if someone puts more deposit down, they will go ahead of others!?

If you go with the big dealers, that might be correct, I’ve phoned a bit around on 9/9/9 and had one in my hands on 10/9/9; if I were you, I’d call the small dealers…

If you just check BH Photo on a daily basis, you should see ones available once every 2-3 weeks. BH does not take pre-orders unless they have stock coming their way, so the wait is never longer than 1-2 weeks once you are able to place your order.
Re: B&H, I would completely disagree with the above post. I’ve been waiting since March 5th for delivery of an M9, and had to pay a full deposit. I was told delivery would be in April. Lately, they have said they have no idea when to expect it.
