Great photos but a lot of them over processed in my opinion. Why do people have to go mad in lightroom/photoshop? Turns a great photo into some sort of comic strip/computerised animation. Not to take away from some amazing compositions and emotions. I just prefer humans, not caricatures.
I’m inclined to agree – I’ve always thought that film and digital should at least be labeled as such. Too, I find it interesting that there were not more (one or two) more North American entries/finalists.
The subject matter is at least a bit repetitious – the images are very fine – but humans in dire conditions are just one in many subjects – unless of course that was the theme on this year’s competition. It was a very nice presentation.
