If an M9-P costs $7,995 I can’t imagine what the M10 will cost.

So we’ve narrowed down m9-p buyers to basically collectors and people with more money than brains.

    Well done Leica.

Well I had pre-order mine a month ago already, and I am glad I did.
I am currently using a M8.2 and could not any longer wait the M10.
buying a M9 would not have justify me waiting (though it is practically the same than the M9-p) at least I can feel a little better to have wait for something… It might seem illogical but you never buy a Leica with your reason, but rather with you hearth, because youn like holding it in your hand, and the M9-p can only give me a better feel (the photography will be the same).
Morover, I might sell my m9-p for a better price when the M10 comes along…

Would I have like better ISO, silent shutter, etc… Sure! but if you are ready to spend 7000 USD in a camera, you are ready to add sone extra money to have it nicer (and love the sapphire back screen on my M8.2, so good to see it back)

They charge a premium for the Red Dot (e.g., Leica D-Lux 5 vs. Panasonic LX5), then they add $1,000 to remove the Red Dot. Pretentious and need the Red Dot? That’s more. Not pretentious but even more money to squander. Still more.
