Time to stop all this pimp my camera stuff. A nice strap is ok, softies were fun 5minutes before we all learned that it was just a way to fuck up the shutter while in the bag, but man, this case. Don’t we like the leica because of it small size and the way it handle ? This stuff is absolutely not thought for photographers.

When the caveman technology of Leicas is not unevolved enough, complement it by wrapping it in animal skin.

    Mmmmm! Delicious!
    Not.

[Do people still say "not?" I'm bringing it back, folks.]

These are hideous. Not to mention cumbersome. The strength of the M- camera is supposed to be its size. These make it bulky. The M is supposed to be quick and responsive. Somehow, they’ve taken a ‘holster’ theme and made it look clunky and slow.

Someone somewhere said, “Oooh, we have a surplus supply of leather. What can we do with it?”

People, like me, who love shooting with Leica, and who are not reach, save money for years to buy M8 or M9, would NOT give additional £375 for a leather case. At least I would NOT. For less than that I just purchased Minolta CLE (almost mint condition) with an excellent M-ROKKOR 2.0/40mm. So thanks for the leather case.

    375 quid no thanks cheers

I like it… but not 375 euro like it.

Yeah, I don’t get this leather case fetish either. Leicas are made to be used and not coddled. A Leica shouldn’t be crippled by swathing it up in a leather coffin. My M9 is already showing battle scars, but so what. It’s a tool. My M6 bodies also show heavy use but they keep on clicking. A naked Leica is a much more usable Leica.

Unfortunately crap like this perpetuates the whole “Leica as jewelry” stereotype. And these look like they were made for those nerdy old camera geezers who sit around and discuss MTF charts and lens tests.

They worship whatever Erwin Puts has to pull out of his behind… They’re not objective (no pun) enough to read their own MTF charts.

How does this make it easier to take pictures?

On a strap, you just grab your camera and shoot. With this thing, you have to take it out of a holster — a great opportunity to fumble it and drop the thing on the ground.

And this thing could not be more conspicuous, Viva Zapata bandolier style. The idea of these cameras is to attract less attention, not more.

Why all the haters? It’s just a case that looks nice.

I don’t like these either, but I don’t understand the fuss about leather cases. A good halfcase, like the A&A halfcase IMPROVES handling of the M, because it provides a little edge for one or two fingers to hold onto. Of course, it doesn’t make it bulkier at all. For me, it makes the M even more versatile, because with the half case I use a bag less often and always carry the tool with me.

What an utterly useless devise. My Leica is either around my neck or in my hand, ready to snap. They must assume that anybody who owns a Leica has too much money. Well, I’m still paying for my M9!

Failure! Time to sell these at cost, close the business and think up something else before they lose too much money. Tough time to start a business, but they should have surveyed their potential customers first. Leica owners are not interested in this douche, hipster-style accessory craze. Just because they get cheap leather doesn’t mean people want it. Why drape 21st century technology in a 19th century idea of “protection”??? Massive Failure!
