nice to see someone makes platium adapters with diamond as lock release.
i am getting sick of this alu and magnesium stuff

Too bad they might still use that alu and magnesium stuff for the packagings. I think they did it to keep the price down.

Makes me wonder why Leica would be supporting other manufacturer lenses, is it a stop gap measure so S2 owners can have more availability of focal lengths, this would be very nice of Leica but what company does these things to support their owners. Or is it a measure to boost sales of a product that is experiencing slowing sales as it ages/other product comes to market (D800)?

i think the real reason is that S2 sales are not that big. you know, as jewelery it is too big. this adapter might catch up as necklace or (in some extremes) as ear ring, so might be the final deciding factor to consider collecting S2 system components.

as for slowing sales? you mean it went from the 3 pieces of S2s per month to 5 per two months?

Propably to entice Hasselblad-users to Leica S.
Also they realise the lack of lenses compared to their competitors is a disadvantage.
There are also adapters for Mamiya 645 and Pentax 67, which if bought used could bring down the price quite a bit for a S2 equipment.
