Update: Leica M (type 240) now shipping in the US as well

Dale Photo & Digital confirmed on reddotforum that the new Leica M type 240 is now also shipping in the US. Supply will be very limited and will probably go to fill up existing pre-orders.

    My current calculation is that if I manage to sell all my R stuff and other film stuff, I will be able to afford the M body and a Summarit 1.5/50 without haze. :-)

      J – Think twice before you jump!!! Hey, have you by chance tried any R glass on a D800? Or read any reviews of that anywhere? I’d like to see/read about that.

    Does anyone know what the story in Australia is? According to Michael’s in Melbourne, they are no longer able to go through their current distributor because Leica is opening up in Australia in April. Does that mean we have to wait until then?

      I also heard that Leica is opening their own distribution in Australia. I don’t think the next M shipment will be sent before April anyway.

    Any one know roughly how many 240′s Leica is cranking out per day, and how Leica chooses a number for distribution to resellers? I pre-ordered mine in late December. Adorama is telling me there are 111 people ahead of me.
