Another list of rumored Leica products to be announced next week at Photokina

Here is another list of expected Leica products that will be announced next week during the 2014 Photokina show (very similar to what I have already posted earlier):

Outside of the expected new M-P Type 240 ….. you can look forward to

  • a new M-A Type 127 Analog that super cedes the current MP film camera. Seems it will be minus the light meter and requires no battery at all – asking ONLY 5,700 AUD:-D
  • a special edition of the Type 240 full stainless steel exterior – only 600 available – spare 22,000 AUD anyone?
  • what I thought is a most interesting update to the D-Lux6 in the new 12.8 MP D=Lux Type 109that will sport a big 4/3 sensor, a high res 2.8 MP OLED EVF, features focus peaking plus WAIT FOR THIS 4k VIDEO and ISO up to 25,000 … asking just under 1,500 AUD
  • couple of updates to the X Vario family
  • the M system also sees a new 50 Noctilux, asking a mere 14,000 AUD and 35 Summilux for spare change of 6,500 AUD both in silver only
  • updates to the range of summarit lenses – slightly faster aperture, improved close focus and an ASPH for the 35mm
  • and throw in a new entry level S system for barely any change out of 20,000 AUD plus a super duper S with 4k video capability with GPS and WiFi – if you have to ask the price, you can’t afford this one
