The Oskar winner movie “Birdman” was shot with Leica C lenses:

On the night of 22th February, 2015 the 87th Annual Academy Awards® took place in Los Angeles. One of the big winners was the Film Birdman with four Oscar Awards. The film was shot through CW Sonderoptic’s Leica Summilux C-Lenses, which already had won the Scientific and Engineering Award on 8th February. Birdman received the Oscars® for the Best Picture, Original Screenplay, achievement in cinematography and best director.

The Leica Summilux-C lenses recently received the Scientific and Engineering Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
