The unique prototype of a Leica APO-Telyt-R 5/600mm lens is currently offered on eBay for EUR 140,000 (USD 157,000). Interestingly, the same lens was listed on eBay back in February 2015 for EUR 200,000 (USD 230,000).

    Someday this collector market is going to crash. No way this probably not-very-good mirror tele for the R system is worth that much money, rarity or no. There would be nothing new about a mirror lens design and they were generally not all that great.

    Also how do they have the balls to list in in LN condition when there is a big chunk missing from the tripod foot.

    That’s crazy, a CAT yet. You could by an Astrophysics refactor for far less and it would be far better. You would have a year or more wait though.
