Does it come with a Ping Pong ball?

Every time you think they are out of special editions they find another one at the bottom of the box! I really want to hear who came up with that decision’s internal monologue as they sell their soul.

  • YourFace

Instead of wasting resource to make these pointless special edition cameras, why not make a grip for the Leica Q that allows you to access the battery and SD card without having to take the freaking thing off?

    • Pantechnicon

These are not wasted resources: there is a wealthy customer group who believe that these are worth more than a standard product now, and will appreciate in the future… This group buys massively marked up product, and so it must be appeased. Leica aren’t wasting resources, they are just generating revenue.

Besides, it takes ‘approaching zero’ effort to change the grip, colour, do some engraving, (and only minimal effort to remove a rear screen) for a special edition.

smaller companies make specialty products all the time…im sure these will sell out quickly. business’s often do things to make a profit, not necessarily to align with popular design. people also love anything red.

alright leica, alright. Do your thing. I just hope we don’t have to experience another hello kitty M-P before we see the the M10.

It might — MIGHT — make sense in black, but the oh-so-cute red is going to look oh-so-ugly brownish-maroon from finger grease after a month or two of use.

    • Brennan McKissick

Good thing that not one of these will see that much use.

  • RRDiaz

Nah…I’m holding out for the Sofort-P Rolf Sachs limited edition. Hey, a guy can dream.
