Leica UK presents Mkomazi Wild Dog: an exhibition by Olly & Suzi

24 February – 10 March 2017
Leica Mayfair, 27 Bruton Place, London W1J 6NQ

Leica UK will host a brand new exhibition by wildlife photographers and artists, Olly & Suzi, entitled Mkomazi Wild Dog at Leica Mayfair from 24 February until 10 March 2017.

Olly & Suzi are British collaborative artists, who track, paint and photograph threatened species in their natural habitats. In this exhibition, they will show for the first time their photography of the endangered African wild dogs at Mkomazi National Park, Tanzania. They photographed these beautiful, elusive creatures for 20 years capturing them on their constant companions: Leica M-Series film cameras.

Olly & Suzi’s photographs portray an intelligent predator that now thrives against the odds as an ‘indicator’ of the health of an entire ecosystem. The stunning landscape of Mkomazi features in the new series of small paintings of this little known wilderness that has become so close to the artists’ hearts.

About Olly & Suzi

For the past 30 years, British collaborative artists Olly & Suzi have been in a conversation with the natural world. Since their first art expedition to meet legendary conservationist Tony Fitzjohn OBE in 1994, much of their time in the African bush has been spent observing, painting and photographing the African wild dogs of the Mkomazi-Tsavo border region. 10% of all sales are being donated to Tony’s work preserving the African wild dog.

The exhibition will be open for public viewing from 24 February – 10 March 2017, Monday to Saturday, 10.00 – 18.00 at Leica Mayfair, 27 Bruton Place, London W1J 6NQ.
