Panasonic to dismantle their digital camera business, unload shares of TowerJazz

Panasonic is reportedly going to dismantle their digital camera business and place it under the umbrella of other operations (originally reported by Nikkei,). The interesting part that involves also Leica is that the company is also considering to unload their shares from the joint venture with the Israeli company TowerJazz – the likely manufacturer of the sensor inside the Leica Q camera. Panasonic is also the supplier for rebadged Leica point and shoot cameras.
