The Leica S system trade up program is now live (I reported that few weeks ago but then Leica pulled it out). You can trade in any SLR or medium format camera and receive $5,000 instant credit towards the purchase of a new Leica S type 006 camera (priced at $21,950.00). This new program will start on April 1 and will end on June 30, 2014 (no, not an April fool’s joke).
Leica Camera will most likely introduce a new S model at Photokina this year and my guess is that it will have a CMOS sensor similar to the M 240 and the latest models from Hasselblad and PhaseOne.
