Leica Store San Francisco grand opening

Leica Store San Francisco held its grand opening reception on August 14, 2014. The store has been designed to embody both the unique character of San Francisco and the essence of Leica. There are beautiful wood floors, exposed brick walls, historic wood columns that are combined with Leica’s minimalistic black and red leather lined fixtures. The store will carry the full-line of Leica Camera products, host exhibitions, workshops, lectures and will become a destination for photographers and enthusiasts in the Bay Area.

The Flickr- shots have been taken entirely with… CANON cameras. That’s how good Leicas are 🙂

Brick walls. Great stuff in earthquake country. I suppose it’s been earthquake retrofitted properly. But Napa recently showed that even retrofitted brick buildings may not survive very well. I’ve made it a habit to stay out of brick buildings in California. Or bring along a helmet. 🙂

The brick walls are for lens testing because that’s all people take pictures of when they’re buying new lenses so it serves a purpose. 😉
