Leica announced a new limited edition M3D “David Douglas Duncan” camera

Three weeks ago Leica Camera quietly announced a new limited edition M3D-5 David Douglas Duncan film camera – a remake of the original M3D. Only 16 pieces of the new M3D-5 will be produced. No official information or pricing was released by Leica, but here are few pictures of the new camera courtesy of gilbert_leica taken during the official unveiling at Leitzpark in Wetzlar:

The original Leica M3D owned by the LIFE photographer and Picasso intimate David Douglas Duncan sold for a record amount at Westlicht auction back in 2012:
