Voigtlander HELIAR Vintage Line 50mm f/3.5 VM lens: US pricing revealed, pre-orders now open

The new Voigtlander HELIAR Vintage Line 50mm f/3.5 VM lens for Leica M mount is listed at B&H with a price tag of $529. Pre-orders are now open and shipping will start on December 23, 2016. The price in Europe is €579 (VAT included). The lens is also available on eBay for $600-$700. Here are some more pictures of the lens (additional coverage available here):

    That’s not a bad price. I think we are past doing LTM stuff but it would be cool to see more stuff like the nickel Heliar lenses they sold with M mount adapters again.

    The question is where do I find those 27mm filters for this lens in my country?
    The two biggest online dealers only stock filters from 37mm and up.

      For old Leica lenses I use step up rings, the two usual sizes are 27-46 and 27-49

    That’s quite a beauty. Perfect match for a good ol’M4, chrome or black.

    (btw, Heliopan has some good range of 27mm filters)
