The new Leica APO-Summicron 50mm LHSA 50th anniversary lens listed for sale in Germany for €9,100

The new Leica APO-Summicron 50mm LHSA 50th anniversary lens is listed for sale at Meister Camera in Germany with a price tag of €9,100 (around $10,700) and it seems that it is already sold out. Additional information:

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Leica Historical Society of America (LHSA) Leica manufactures a special model of the APO-Summicron-M 2.0 / 50mm ASPH. “LHSA” in black lacquer. The frame is based on the design of the Summicron from the 1950s and 1960s and is supplied with the classic plug – on lens hood. The optical calculation is, of course, the same as for the series lens. For the black lacquered version of the APO-Summicron-M 2.0 / 50mm “LHSA”, the outer components of the lens barrel are made of brass and provided with a glossy black lacquer.

Production quantity: only 300 pieces in black lacquered version. Due to the low production volume and the already high demand, this lens is only available on request.

Provisional delivery period (without guarantee): approx. January to March 2018
