Leica Store Miami has this custom Leica M2 camera (graphite grey over tan leather) listed for sale for $2,295:

The Leica M2 was manufactured between 1958-1967 (69/70 R version). This model was conceived as a less expensive alternative to the M3, but its range/viewfinder system became the basis for that of all future models.

A little history for the camera buffs. The Leica M2 was manufactured with some variations. Some of the earlier bodies had a push-button rewind release, later bodies had the lever. Some early bodies did not have a self-timer lever, but was added from S/N 1004151 on (known as M2-S in the U.S.A.).

Here is the cool info on the M2-R version. The U.S. Military, in 1960, placed an order for the camera. Leica fitted the Army version with a rapid-load three-prong take-up spool and designated the camera as the M2-S. After the Army cancelled the orders, S/N 1248201-1250200 were designated as the M2-R and sold to the general public by Leitz, New York.

Features of the Leica M2/R:

This particular camera is one of the earlier models with the self timer lever. The camera is very clean and in excellent condition for the age. There are no signs of excessive use or abuse on the body. The viewfinder winder is clear from haze or fungus. The film compartment is very clean while the shutter curtain is in perfect condition. A recent CLA from YYe Camera has been completed. The work performed was to adjust the shutter speed and brake, adjust the roller, clean and adjust the finder, adjust focus, and to clean lubricate and adjust all parts for proper working order.
