Do you remember the Leica Toom camera?

From Meister Camera on Facebook:

Dear Leica friends,

Today we would like to introduce you to a forgotten collector’s piece, LEICA TOOM!

Not only BUHAUS stands for qualified vurniture, but also TOOM has gained a great reputation in recent years. But it was not the

building market that stood at the naming ceremony of this unique special model pate.

The word TOOM is a reminiscent of the LEICA telegram course words of the past days. LEITZ was leading ca. 1928 jene short words for his products, so that orders from traders could also be telegraphically transmitted without any confusion. This is how a LEICA universal seeker was referred to as VIDOM, for example. Since about now. 1959, however, LEICA uses five-digit numerical values instead of these telegram coursewords.

This one-of-a-kind LEICA T-series special model was reproduced with an elegant Cherry Wood veneer by Japanese specialist “Aki Asahi”. It represents a unique symbiosis of the highest craftsmanship and ultimate sustainability. Technically met the special model of the regular camera and spoiled it with a high-resolution 16MP sensor and a unique service concept with a large touch screen.

The delivery scope included a white silicone strap and for optimal care a small bottle of Poliboy furniture polish. Free by the motto: “Poliboy remakes LEICA!”
