Michael Suguitan sent me a message about his Leica MPi camera – a Leica M2 with a Raspberry Pi-powered digital sensor:
“I created a homebrewed digital back for my Leica M2 using a Raspberry Pi Zero, dubbed the Leica MPi. Compared to prior similar works using film cameras as housings, my implementation preserves the key affordances of the original M2, specifically its rangefinder focusing mechanism and coupling to the mechanical shutter. I provide several example photographs taken from its deployment in Japan.”
