“The camera manufacturer Leica has opened a new production facility for high-quality lenses in Heuchelheim near Gießen. As the company announced in a press release, premium lenses will be manufactured there in the future under the “Leica Eyecare” brand. According to the announcement, Leica is pursuing the goal of serving the German market for eyeglass lenses locally. The aim is to focus on quality and brand-conscious opticians and customers who supply discerning customers with high-quality lenses.
