A new Leica M camera with an electronic viewfinder is rumored to be announced later this year (2025). I already posted several leaked pictures from a recent Leica survey where they described different design update options, and one of them includes an EVF:

 
 

Here are the different viewfinder options Leica is considering for the next generation of M cameras (Leica M12?)

This rumored Leica M EVF camera (not the actual model name) WILl NOT BE the Leica M12. This makes sense  – Leica will keep the M12 as the “classic” rangefinder line and will introduce a new “modern” option with EVF and other changes – for example, only a large touchscreen LCD without buttons:
