Kevin Fickling contacted me about his handmade dream camera bag – a tribute to the 100 years of Leica celebration:
For bag number 50 I wanted to create something special. The Leica 100 year anniversary was a perfect opportunity. I started my journey in leather working a decade ago because I bought my first Leica and wanted a strap for it. I figured it was only fitting to make this tribute to the brand that inspired me and so many others. The cameras you see are hand drawn pencil sketches that are then laser engraved directly onto the leather of the bag. This process took me years to develop and refine. The leather is a perfect match to the Hermes edition M9. One of the most beautiful M cameras ever made. Here’s to 100 more years of Leica.
