Additional information:

High-performance lenses developed for industrial inspection

The XENON-EMERALD 2.2/50 is an industrial lens developed by Schneider-Kreuznach for machine vision, printed circuit board inspection, and LCD/OLED display inspection. It features high resolution and a low distortion design with an image circle (43.2mm) that covers a full-size sensor.

Consistent image quality across the entire image area and wideband coating

The lens employs a broadband coating that covers the entire image area, from visible light to near-infrared light, ensuring consistent transmittance and reducing variations in brightness due to wavelength. This lens is designed to reduce flare and ghosting, and to minimize color casts and loss of contrast.

High resolution from wide open aperture and natural bokeh

It delivers high resolution from an open F2.2 aperture, achieving the sharpness you expect from an industrial lens. The natural, soft bokeh creates a three-dimensional effect that makes the subject stand out.

High-quality telescope

The lens barrels are manufactured and customized at an OEM factory selected from among the SHOTEN brand’s partner factories. The carefully finished silver metal lens barrels offer smooth operation and a classic, sophisticated look.

Wide mount compatibility, even for medium format sensors

Schneider’s published “XENON-EMERALD 2.2/50 (F-mount specification)” has an image circle of 43.2mm, but it can also be used with the 44x33mm medium-format sensors of the Fujifilm GFX series and Hasselblad X series at close to medium distances without worrying about vignetting. By using a separately sold mount adapter, it can be used not only with Leica M-mount cameras, but also with various mirrorless cameras.
