A new limited-edition Lailens LTM 50mm f/1.1 KP lens for M-mount (with rangefinder coupling) was released in Japan. The new lens pays homage to the famous Kino Plasmast 5cm f/1.5 from pre-war Germany.

Lailens has already announced two lenses for Leica M-mount:

New Lailens 50mm f/1.1 (M-mount) and 35mm f/1.9 (L39 mount) lenses from China

Additional information:

The LAILENS LTM 50mm f1.1 KP is an ultra-large aperture lens inspired by the dreamy rendering of the pre-war German masterpiece, the Kino Plasmat 5cm F1.5.

A young developer resonated with the passion of an old lens enthusiast and commissioned lens maker DJ to design it. It is a modern reconstruction of a classic lens, while paying homage to it.

At its widest aperture of F1.1, it offers a fantastical atmosphere and soft, oil-painting-like rendering, while also achieving portability with a total length of approximately 44.5mm. This is a special lens produced in limited quantities.

Inspired by a famous pre-war German lens, the 50mm F1.1

This ultra-large aperture 50mm lens was born from the dreamy rendering of the Kino Plasmat 5cm F1.5. Reconstructed with modern technology while paying homage to classic lenses, it allows you to enjoy the soft expression reminiscent of legendary lenses of yesteryear in today’s shooting environment.

The f/1.1 aperture creates a fantastical atmosphere.

At f/1.1, the shallow depth of field and rich bokeh create a dreamy atmosphere. Enjoy a soft, almost blurred rendering reminiscent of an oil painting. It gently envelops light and the contours of the subject, leading to a truly memorable image.

A limited edition bottle born from passion.
