NEW: LEICA X2 DIGISCOPING-ADAPTER
Solms, Germany (September 17, 2012) – Leica Camera presents the Leica X2 Digiscoping-Adapter, a new accessory in their digiscoping program that enables the attachment of Leica X2 cameras to the Leica APO-Televid 82 and APO-Televid 65 spotting scopes. The combination of high-performance digital technology and the optical excellence of the high-performance spotting scopes ensures imaging results of the highest quality.
Leica Camera is the only premium-segment optical systems manufacturer to offer a complete product portfolio for digiscoping applications, from cameras and adapters to high-performance spotting scopes. All individual components are perfectly matched and the combination allows users to capture impressive photos that are otherwise only possible with special telephoto lenses mounted on premium SLR cameras.
With an unusually large professional sensor for a camera in this class, the new release’s high-performance Leica Elmarit 24 mm f/2.8 ASPH. lens opens up entirely new dimensions in digiscoping. Numerous automatic functions ensure extremely simple camera handling and the 35 mm prime lens (35 mm equivalent) makes use in combination with the spotting scope particularly easy. The adapter is simply screwed into the filter thread of the Leica X2 and locked in place on the spotting scope eyepiece by means of a setting screw. No other adjustments to the camera are required.
The Leica X2 Digiscoping-Adapter is now available at Leica dealers, including the Leica Store Washington DC.
