As we edge towards the end of 2023, Patrick Borie-Duclaud, the designer of the “Komaru Softrelease”, has created a new limited-production model called “Komaru Black Paint Edition”.
“Black Paint” is popular among Leica collectors, and this edition of the “Komaru Softrelease” pays tribute to this iconic finish.
The “Komaru Black Paint Edition” was manufactured from brass, then meticulously lacquered by hand, piece by piece, by a skilled painter.
The result is a superb black gloss finish, smooth to the touch.
This limited production run comprises 250 pieces, plus an additional series of 40 that have already been subtly patinated by our craftsman to match your vintage Leica camera perfectly, unless you want to wait for time to do its job.
Each patinated “Komaru Black Paint Edition” is a unique piece.
