- A spy lens originally developed by Dr. Walter Mandler at Ernst Leitz Canada in the late 1960s for the US Navy
- Only around 200 units of the original Elcan 66 mm f/2 were ever produced (strong collector appeal)
- Limited edition to 660 pieces (why not 666?:)
- Announcement rumored for September 3rd (Thursday)
