I also tried to compile a list of issues reported so far by Leica M9 owners. Please note that some of those may not be issues at all, they may be related to user errors or the potential defects may be isolated to a single camera and may not apply to all units:
- when shooting in continuous mode, the M9 sometimes freezes – several users reported that one (source)
- several M9 owners are also questioning the high ISO results of the Leica M9 (source)
- odd stripe appears on one M9 user (source with example)
- 34 seconds to format 2 GB memory card? (same source as above)
- EXIF files do not show serial number even with the latest firmware 1.002 (source)
- The “soft mode” seems to be really soft and sometimes another picture is triggered right after the first one (source).

Talking about websites: Leicaportal.com & Leicacommunity.com are two new websites that were registered recently. I wonder what are those going to be about? The domain names are registered to Filip Molcan, who was the founder of nikonclub.cz. Here is a screenshot of the current teaser:
