I had a terrible experience with this guy. Nice kit but this guy is no one to deal with.

    Why 2 different 50mm lens?

That Noctilux 50 is a $10,500 lens, versus $3,700 for the Summilux 50. I can only guess that it’s for the “wow” effect of having the most expensive M9 lens in the kit.

The f/1 flavor of the Noctilux is no longer $10,500 but can be had for about $4500 on the used market. The lens you think of is the f/0.95, which is not included in this set.

Any serious Leica owner understands that $5,500+ is a bargain to gain that extra f/0.05 that the f/0.95 offers over the measly f/1.
