Using a Leica TL lens on the Panasonic S1R full-frame mirrorless camera

The new Panasonic S1 full-frame mirrorless camera with Leica L-mount is already shipping and is currently in stock in the UK.

At one of the Panasonic Lumix S events, a reader mounted a Leica TL lens (Leica Summicron-T 23mm f/2 ASPH lens) on the Panasonic S1R camera and the result was a 20MP image file. The Leica TL lens worked without a problem on the Panasonic S1R camera even though the camera did no have the final firmware.

Thanks Paul!

Panasonic now offers a free DMW-BLJ31 battery and DMW-BGS1 battery grip ($435.98 value) with S1/S1R pre-orders. See the details at Adorama and B&H:
