The one of a kind Leica M for (RED) camera is currently on display at the Leica Store in New York Soho. The camera designed by Jony Ive and Marc Newson will be auctioned for charity on November 23, 2013 at Sotheby’s.

Tamarkin Rare Camera Auction to take place on December 8, 2013

The next Tamarkin Rare Camera Auction will take place on December 8, 2013. Featured will be a Leica M4-2 Safari outfit, a prototype which was not eventually manufactured by Leica, a mint Leica M4 KE-7A with a mis-engraving, two 50mm Noctilux f/1.2 lenses, E. New Leica stores in Qatar and London

Gulf Times reported that Leica Camera AG has partnered with Qatar’s Abu Issa Group to launch their products in the country. A new Leica Boutique has been setup on the ground floor of the Blue Salon building on Suhaim Bin Hamad Street.

Leica also opened a new store in London located in the Burlington Arcade.

New firmware update for the Leica S2/S2-P

Leica announces partnership with Red Bull Illume

Leica is pleased to announce their official partnership with Red Bull Illume – the world’s largest international photography competition dedicated to action and adventure sports. The first exhibition tour stop in the U.S. will begin in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 14, 2013. A showcase of the most exciting and creative action sports photography on the planet will be displayed as art to the wider public. The top 50 images selected from over 28,257 submissions by photographers from around the globe will be displayed as a part of a unique illuminated nighttime exhibition and will be free to the public. After the first U.S. stop in Scottsdale, the tour will continue to travel around the world’s capitals and cultural hubs over the next two years.
