finally all these high quality but cheap price wide lenses by Voigtlander can be EASILY manual focused on the NEX5N with the “focus peaking assist” feature. no more having to use it on the crazy priced leicam9 that will only couple the rangefinder to leica lenses only. now we can all use Voigtlander and zeiss lenses, with much easier manual focus. thank u so much sony for the NEX5N and NEX7. they will work with every lens.

nex5 is crop camera. with such huge lens, you will do better to carry around D700 with tiny and superior in IQ 50/1.4

        ?????????

D700 with 50 1.4 would still be a lot bigger and heavier than the NEX with this lens.

the thing here is MANUAL FOCUS ASSIST feature. nikon doesnt have that. or compact size of the nex.

Sure they have… Focus confirmation or even a new ground glass with good ol’ microprism.

        • asdsd

both are not pocketable. once you have bag.

yes, there is only pseudorangefinder but waitforit… it autofocus, so focus assist is not that needed :-). Besides. you can zoom in with liveview…
