First Leica boutique to open in Sydney

A new Leica store will be opened in Sydney on November 24:

"Foto Riesel has adopted a Great Gatsby twenties theme for the invitation-only launch, which takes place at the company’s Kent Street premises on November 24, 85 years after the first Leica camera went into production.

Leica ambassadors John Laham and Craig Coverdale have been invited to talk about their photographic achievements."

In the past few months Leica Cameras has opened a series of new stores in various locations.

    ‘Great Gatsby twenties theme’….?????

So, it’s also ‘invitation only’ to the opening party: how photographically relevant for Leica.

It almost makes Leica’s ‘brand marketing’ and store launches silly in the scheme of a photographers life. I mean, just really who are these things for?
