You can download the old 2005 version of Leica Lens Compendium by Erwin Puts for free at this link. This 223 page version does not contain any images and it's available as a free download with the permission of the author. Erwin Puts released a new new version of this book in August 2011.

    I was a little surprised to see that the pdf has no author attribution whatsoever. Sure, the book has been superseded by a newer edition, but I’d think Erwin Puts would be entitled to a little not-so-shameless self-promotion.

    Enough! Put out a digital copy of the latest version, and sell it to Leicaphiles for $100. I’m sick of having to wait for everything in the Leica world, even for easily mass produced item such as book prints.
