The D-LUX 4 Safari Set will be delivered with a dedicated khaki-colored system case that matches the feel of the camera. The system case offers space for optional accessories like the handgrip, viewfinder or flash unit. It is made of water-resistant heavy duty material that is used in manufacturing in the automobile industry. The case also comes with a rain cape made of nylon. Delivery expected in August. Price: US $ 995.

Has Leica ever make a Hello Kitty version? I’d buy that…uh, for my wife I mean :0

  • “Special” is misspelled.

Who is Leica kidding with this “Special Safari Edition” D-Lux 4? This camera has a 24-60mm lens. 60mm! Try getting a close-up shot of a lion/tiger/hippo with a 60mm lens on your next safari and let us know if you survive. LOL!

LOL, brilliant advertisement! I know it is a “safari” camera but that doesn’t mean it is for use on safari, there is an M8 “safari” and it wouldn’t be the best for telephoto. I think it looks pretty cool, better than the titanium IMO…
