The Redditor LeicaM6Guy shared some information on a new Leica lens from Lomography that will be a reworked version of an older model with a new construction and multicoating:
“What I like: -very well built -will work better on a digital than on my M3* -great for low light -neat bokeh under the right conditions -sharpness is probably on par with the Leica 50mm 1.5 (though that wasn’t the sharpest lens in Leica lineup, it was one of the fastest at the time it was introduced.)
What I don’t like: -Since it’s designed around the M39/LTM mount, it’ll probably focus better on Russian bodies than Leica M or screw mount bodies. There’s a very slight difference between Russian M39 mounts and Western LTM mounts. Stopping down one or two clicks and you should be fine. Anything with a live view, and you should be ok. -probably going to be more expensive than I would personally like.”
Pdexposures.com guesses that this will be a new version of the Jupiter 3 50mm f/1.5 lens (see on eBay).
Earlier this year Lomography announced the RUSSAR+ 20mm f/5.6 lens for L39/M mounts which has been delayed and is still not available.
Lomography also introduced several different types of photography film (some in limited edition).
